Founding President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IMANI-Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe has expressed worry over the fact that Ghanaians could be engaged in such acts of treason in the country.

According to Mr. Cudjoe, the focus should rather be on individuals targeting the Presidency.

His comments follow the release of a statement by the Information Ministry suggesting that some three suspected persons have been planning a coup for the past months in order to destabilize the Presidency.

In a Facebook post Tuesday morning, the CEO of IMANI however urged Ghanaians to remain calm in spite of the recent developments as regards security in the country.

“We should be worried that some people could plan such acts of treason but guys, relax, the caliber of weapons supposedly retrieved for the operation can’t get past the security at the Presidency, ” the post sighted by The Ghana Report reads.

He added “The security personnel is ready to ward off any such attacks any day.
