‘Asor’ at 20; I’m honored to have new generation doing renditions of my classic – Kwabena Kwabena

Highlife musician, Kwabena Kwabena says he is amazed at the positive impact of his musical journey on the younger generations.

Speaking to JoyNews’ Becky, Kwabena Kwabena shared his thoughts after performing for the first time with King Promise at his Promiseland concert.

“I’m honoured. Asor is 20 years old, and seeing the new generation perform the classic is overwhelming for me. I’m also grateful for the love and support I’ve received over the years.”

King Promise is one of the musicians who sampled Kwabena Kwabena’s Asor in his latest ‘Favorite Story’ hit song.

He added that plans are underway for a grand celebration on Valentine’s Day to mark his two decades in the music industry.

“Asor will be celebrated in a big way on February 14th at the Grand Arena. It’s going to be an experience for me.”

Kwabena Kwabena’s breakthrough came in 2004 with his debut album, ‘Asor’.
