Asante Kotoko unveil striker Kwame Opoku
Forward Kwame Opoku has been officially unveiled by Asante Kotoko following his return to the club.
Opoku signed a two-and-a-half year deal to rejoin the Porcupine Warriors after a stint in North African.
The former USM Algers and Olympique Khouribga striker was presented to the fans before the Super Clash between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
The 27-year-old is expected to bolster the attack of the Porcupine Warriors, whose title chances was rekindled after their victory over the Phobians.
Opoku is enormously experienced, and enjoyed a good time during his first spell with the club, where he netted six goals and delivered three assists in 16 matches.
“It’s a great feeling to be back at Kotoko. This club has always felt like home to me, and I’m eager to contribute to the team’s success. The support from the fans has been incredible, even during my time away, and I’m ready to give everything on the pitch to make them proud,” he said after completing his return to the club.
Asante Kotoko sits sixth on the Ghana Premier League table with 21 points, just three points adrift of leaders Heart of Lions.
