Asante Kotoko to leave for preseason in Dubai
Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko SC will be leaving the shores of Ghana for a preseason tour in Dubai as part of their preparations towards the 2021/22 Ghana football season.
The ‘Kum Apem’ lads had a terrible run in the just-ended campaign having gone trophyless, losing the GPL title to their arc rivals and also failed to defend their FA Cup trophy after suffering a quarter-final eviction against Berekum Chelsea.
However, Prosper Narteh Ogum since taking over as the new head coach has already regrouped the players for preseason which has been underway for almost two weeks now.
Also, the Porcupine Warriors will jet off to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dubai precisely for preseason training hoping to give their players a different terrain and atmosphere to have them adequately prepared for the upcoming football season.
Their new eight additions are all expected to join the team’s tour including their yet to land Ugandan striker, Steven Mukwala, who confirmed in an interview with Oyerepa FM in Kumasi.
The two-time African conquerors afterwards will return for the new season and get themselves prepared and poised for their opening fixture against Dreams FC in Dawu- a venue they picked double victories last season
