Annan joined the Porcupine Warriors from then Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord Academy in 2011 and rose through the ranks to become the team’s safest pair of hands for so many years and later became captain.
However, the 26-year-old in recent times had struggled for game time after losing his starting position last season.
The inclusion of Razak Abalora and Kwame Baah who have become the club’s first and second choice goalkeepers respectively caused him to be relegated to the third choice option.
That has affected his involvement in the senior national team after receiving his maiden call up in 2019.
He won three Ghana Premier League titles and was part of the Asante Kotoko team that defeated arch-rivals Hearts of Oak to clinch the club’s ninth MTN FA Cup in 2017 at the Alhaji Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.
It is unclear where the enterprising shot-stopper will play next, with Accra Hearts of Oak and Medeama emerging as possible destinations.
Annan started his football in Achimota Zongo (a suburb of Accra) with a youth side called Shooting Stars and later joined Feyenoord Academy now West African Football Academy (WAFA).
