Asante Kotoko offer midfielder Justice Blay two-year contract extension

Experienced midfielder Justice Blay has been offered a two-year contract extension by Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko, according to local media reports.

Blay secured a permanent move to the Porcupine Warriors from Medeama back in 2022 following impressive loan spell.

The 32-year-old spent the 2019/2020 season on loan at Kotoko where he became fans favourite following his terrifying performances.

The tough-tackling midfielder has since become a mainstay at Kotoko following his swashbuckling performance.

With his contract set to expire in January 2025, Kotoko have offered him an extension as they seek to tie the midfielder beyond 2024.

The Porcupine Warriors are reportedly offering more to keep Blay, who has developed to become one of the most reliable players at the club.

Blay’s versatility gives coach Prosper Narteh Ogum flexibility in his tactical setups, making him an indispensable asset in the squad.

Meanwhile, the midfielder has yet to agree a deal with the Porcupine Warriors as he weighs his options.

The former Medeama midfielder has made seven appearances in the Ghana Premier League after 10 matches.
