Asante Kotoko management refused to heed to my advice – C.K Akonnor
After winning his case against his former club Asante Kotoko, C. K Akonnor has revealed he didn’t want to take the case to the Players and coaches status Committee due to the respect he has for the Owner of the club.
But the management refusal to heed to his call forced him to take the club to the committee.
The players and coaches status committee on Monday ruled the case in favour of the former Hearts of Oak coach by ordering Asante Kotoko to pay him the remainder of the two years contract before his untimely dismissal.
According to the former Ashantigold SC coach, he won in every aspect of the case filed before the status committee against the Confederation Cup campaigners.
“I now have the letter of the ruling in my hands so I can talk about it. Unfortunately it’s not GHC60,000 as is being reported but for the figures I can’t say it, but the ruling is in favour of me. I won in all aspects of the case….it’s unfortunate because for the respect I have for the Asantehene Otumfour I didn’t want it this way.
“I had the opportunity to shake hands with Otumfour and it’s a privilege. I wanted it settled out of court but the management did not understand, I asked for only four months salary then I walk away but they didn’t agree, and now they are to pay for two years and there is a huge difference” He told Fox FM Sports
