Asante Kotoko confirm departure of assistant coach David Ocloo
Asante Kotoko have announced the resignation of assistant coach David Dickson Ocloo after three years with the club.
Ocloo stepped down from his position ahead of the Super Clash against Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium last weekend.
In a statement, the club expressed gratitude for his contributions: “We can confirm that David Dickson Ocloo has left his role as first assistant coach. The club would like to thank David for his contributions to the team and wish him the very best for his future.”
He played a key role in Kotoko’s Ghana Premier League triumph during the 2021/22 season under Prosper Narteh Ogum.
Ocloo briefly worked with Hearts of Oak during a coaching break in the 2022/23 season, serving as interim head coach, before returning to Kotoko for the 2023/24 campaign.
The reason for his resignation remains unclear. Kotoko will now prepare for their next league game against Dreams FC without their assistant coach.
