Asante Akyem Municipal Football Association gets new office for operations
In a bid to promote football development in the Asante Akyem Municipality, the Asante Akyem Municipal Assembly has partnered with the Astroturf Committee to officially hand over an administrative office to the Municipal Football Association.
The keys to the office located at the Astroturf facility were presented yesterday by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Francis Oti Boateng, alongside Nana Kwabena Owusu Ansah, Chairman of the Facility Management Committee and a former professional referee.
Both officials reaffirmed their commitment to bolstering football in the municipality, vowing ongoing support for the Asante Akyem Municipal Football Federation.
During the handover ceremony, Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, Chairman of the Municipal Football Association and CEO of Ghana Digital Centres, expressed his appreciation to the Assembly for their collaborative efforts in promoting the sport.
He assured attendees that the office would effectively serve its purpose, acting as a hub for administrative functions aimed at discovering and nurturing football talent in the region.
He also noted that the association’s work would benefit not just Asante Akyem, but the entire nation.
The establishment of this office is expected to enhance the management and operations of the Municipal Football Association, enabling better coordination of football development initiatives in the area.
This collaboration marks a significant advancement in nurturing young football talent in the region.
