Anonymous buyer offers $10,000 for Manasseh Azure’s ‘The Fourth John’
Manasseh Azure’s riveting book ‘The Fourth John’ enjoyed big sales at the launch with bids as high as $10,000.
The more than 360-page book was bought by an anonymous person and autographed by the investigative journalist at Christ The King Parish Hall in Accra.
The first copy of the book was purchased for 20,000 cedis. In an auctioning dominated by men, legal practitioner Clara Beeri showed up for ‘woman power’.
The Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Alban S.K. Bagbin jovially promised to buy Manasseh a “fat bull.”
Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority,Hassan Tampuli; Presidential Staffer Evron Hughes; Chief Executive Officer of Intercity STC, Nana Akomea; NEAT FM Show Host Adakabre Frimpong Manso, all supported Manasseh Azure’s latest work.
The market price of the book is set at 100 cedis for a hard copy and 80 cedis for soft cover.
John Mahama, the main subject of the book was represented at the launch by Ghana’s former Ambassador to Namibia and Botswana, Alhaji Haruna Atta.
