Ambulance service breaks silence on viral Enyiresi clash video

The National Ambulance Service (NAS) has refuted the circulating videos and reports suggesting that its team was involved in a confrontation with the public at Enyiresi Government Hospital.

In a statement, NAS management labelled these claims as “misleading and fabricated,” encouraging the public to disregard them.

The reported incident took place on the evening of Thursday, July 31, 2025, when an ambulance was transferring a critically ill 17-year-old girl from the Atiwa West District Hospital.

NAS stated that the ambulance team arrived at 6:31 p.m. only to be informed that there were no available beds.

While the patient was monitored and on oxygen in the ambulance, family members advocated for her transfer to the Koforidua Regional Hospital. NAS maintained that their staff acted professionally throughout the situation.

“A misunderstanding occurred during the transfer, but the viral videos distort the truth,” the statement clarified.

NAS urged the public and media to verify information before dissemination, cautioning that false reports can undermine trust in crucial emergency services.

The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to delivering professional, life-saving care nationwide.
