Alhaji Imoro Seidu elected to lead NDC in newly created Savannah region as chairman
A 52-year-old businessman, Alhaji Imoro Seidu has been elected as the new regional chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the newly created Savannah region.
He polled 170 votes at an election conducted at Damango on Saturday.
Alhaji Seidu, until his election was NDC constituency chairman for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency, one of the seven constituencies in the Savannah region.
He defeated Alhaji Issahaku Jamani and Mr. Kofi Iddi who polled 37 and 11 votes respectively.
