Akufo-Addo’s ADC collapses in parliament, disrupting final SONA (VIDEO)

There was a brief panic in Parliament on Friday, December 3, as President Nana Akufo-Addo’s final State of the Nation Address (SONA) was brought to a temporary halt following the heavy fall of his aide-de-camp (ADC).

Midway into the presentation, the army general came down crushing after standing still behind the president for hours.

It is not strange for security personnel to collapse due to fatigue after long parades, but information gathered suggests that the president’s bodyguard was unwell, coupled with the heavy ceremonial uniform for the occasion, which made it unbearable.

He was quickly rushed into an ambulance at the premises of parliament and given medical attention.

President Akufo-Addo continued with his moment of accountability shortly after the incident.
