Akufo-Addo names Agyapa Mercer, Tampuli as deputy ministers
MP for Sekondi, Andrew Egyapa Mercer is expected to be named deputy Energy Minister while MP for Geshugu, Hassan Tampuli, takes a deputy ministerial role at the Ministry of Transport.
Reliable information reaching theghanareport.com indicates the two are part of a list of appointments for deputy ministerial roles under the second tenure of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Whiles the government has maintained some experienced hands in some key sectors, the list also features some fresh faces.
Besides re-assignments of some former appointees, other new MPs such as Lariba Abudu have also been given appointments.
