Agric minister resigns

The minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto has tendered his resignation letter to President Nana Akufo Addo, in fulfilment of one of the rules of eligibility for the NPP presidential primaries.

It comes on the heels of a similar action by the trade and industry minister Mr Alan Kyeremanten who is also a presidential aspirant.

Until his resignation, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto had been at the helm of affairs for 6 years in the agricultural ministry.
