Confirming the incident on Thursday, January 8, the Presiding Member for the Asante Akyem North Municipality, Frank Gyamfi, described Mr Osei as a young and dedicated leader in his early thirties whose death has come as a major shock to colleagues and residents alike.

According to Mr Gyamfi, he had spoken with the deceased just days before the incident and had no indication that such a tragedy was imminent.

“I was shocked when I heard of his demise because I had spoken with him on Sunday. He was a promising young leader, and this news is very painful,” he said.
