The Amasaman Circuit Court has sentenced two men to 17 years in prison each for robbing two people at Agbazo, near the Golden Exotic Farm in Accra.
According to a police press release, the convicts, a 28-year-old Lawrence Fumato (also known as Rasta) and 20-year-old Daniel Dzoka (also known as Alkaline) pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Robbery, offenses outlined in Sections 23(1) and 149 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29). Both sentences will run concurrently.
A statement signed by Superintendent Juliana Obeng, Head of Public Affairs for the Accra Region, explained that the two men attacked their victims on November 12, 2025, using a pair of scissors.
The stolen items included a Royal 150 motorbike, a Samsung phone, a Tecno Spark 8 phone, an itel keypad phone, and GH¢4,000 in cash.
Police arrested the suspects on November 17, 2025, during an intelligence-led operation at Agbazo.
The Accra Regional Police Command has thanked the community for its continued cooperation.
