The Tema High Court has adjourned the jail case of entertainment personality Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, popularly known as Afia Schwarzenegger, to Tuesday, January 31, 2023, after appearing before the court today (January 17, 2023) with her legal team.

The next court hearing will determine whether Afia Schwarzenegger would be set free or would have to spend 10 days in prison as a court warrant issued previously indicated.

The court adjourned her case on the basis of a clerical error on the docket, which hinders court proceedings when that occurs.

Afia Schwarzenegger, together with other entertainers, were dragged to court over defamatory comments against the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling NPP, Bernard Antwi-Bosiako, alias Chairman Wontumi.

The others, including the host of the show Nana Ama McBrown, were fined GH¢60,000 each (5,000 penalty units), but Afia was sentenced to 10 days in prison for contempt of court.

At the time Afia was sued, she wasn’t in the country, but today, she appeared in court for the second time.
