AFCON 2025Q: Ghana set to miss out if Sudan draw against Niger on Thursday
Ghana face Angola in their penultimate game of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers on Friday, but their fate could be decided today.
After failing to register a win during the last round of qualifiers, Ghana’s hopes of making an 11th straight competition look in jeopardy.
The Black Stars’ hopes could be dashed, if Sudan pick up a point against Niger on Thursday, 24 hours before Ghana play.
Sudan, who lead Ghana by 5 points and also have a superior head to head and goal difference, only need a point from their final two games to seal qualification.
The Black Stars have not failed to qualify for the AFCON since 2004, and failure will be a big blow for the four time champions.
