#Accrafloods trend as Ghanaians get angry over Saturday floods
The vulnerability of Accra and Kasoa to floods manifested again on Saturday when parts of the two cities were submerged in flood after nearly five hours of torrential rain.
Dozens of vehicles were washed away in a flood that exposed the ills of urban planning in both cities.
Ghanaians took social media to vent their anger and frustration over the perennial rains which leaves behind trails of devastation.
The rain
The homeless
The houses on water ways
The water refuse other ways except
it’s own path hence exposing this issue each year
Leadership refuse to resolve this issue fear of losing votes#EndAccraFloodsNow #accrafloods— Z O N G O – B O Y (@MrMuftyy) October 11, 2020

We as Ghanaian don’t help always shift their blames to the government. People in Accra have buildings in waterlogged areas. You put rubbish in gutters and everywhere. You buy lands anywhere but you expect the leaders to prevent floods regardless. #AccraFloods @CNN @BBC @WorldBank

As usual, we had to allow politics take the better side of common sense, and here we go again! Another raining season, another flooded city! The world will leave us behind if we continue this myopic brand of politics 😿 @johndumelo1 deserves this seat 100% #EndSARS #AccraFloods pic.twitter.com/QXNszwYXeq
