The Odompem Adwenadze Royal Family at Abura Dunkwa has destooled Nana Obo Kwefuah VIII as the Gyaasehene of the town following allegations that he was involved in a secret romantic relationship with a fetish priestess.
Members of the royal family say the development was considered inappropriate for someone occupying such a respected traditional position.
According to sources close to the palace, elders became concerned after learning about the relationship and began reviewing the chief’s conduct and performance in office.
It is alleged that he frequently neglected important duties and sometimes abandoned key assignments expected of him as a traditional leader.
These concerns, according to insiders, contributed to the final decision by elders and members of the royal family to remove him from the position.
