Ablakwa Makes Shocking Revelations About Aisha Huang’s Deportation

Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has alleged that contrary to deportation protocols, Aisha Huang, a Chinese galamsey kingpin who was supposedly deported from Ghana, was not escorted.

According to him, Aisha Huang was not physically handed over to the relevant Chinese authorities when she landed in China in 2018.

“Chinese officials had no prior communication and were only informed by the Ghanaian government two days after Aisha Huang’s so-called deportation, making it difficult for her to be tracked,” he said.

On claims that prosecuting and jailing Aisha would have strained the relationship between Ghana and China, Mr. Ablakwa said, “There is no available credible evidence suggesting that the Chinese government at any time appealed to their Ghanaian counterparts not to prosecute Aisha Huang or making her freedom a precondition for bilateral trade relations as former Senior Minister Yaw Osafo-Maafo recklessly claimed”.

According to the lawmaker, these revelations came up through a painstaking investigation into the deportation of Aisha Huang, who has been re-arrested by Ghanaian authorities and remanded into police custody after she was found in Ghana once again

He called for an immediate full-scale independent inquiry to unravel the mystery and to identify Aisha Huang’s collaborators in high places for swift sanctions.

“The morbid fear of Aisha Huang by the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government cannot be opportunistically blamed on others.”

“When Tanzania jailed the Chinese Ivory Queen, Yang Fenglan, in February 2019 for 15 years, it didn’t and hasn’t affected cordial China-Tanzania bilateral relations.”

Painstaking investigations into the Aisha Huang-Gate is leading to very explosive findings:

1) It has emerged that Aisha Huang was not escorted during her supposed deportation as an international standard practice requires during such high-profile deportations;

2) Aisha Huang was not physically handed over to relevant or competent Chinese authorities when she allegedly landed in China which is inconsistent with deportation protocols;

3) Chinese officials had no prior communication and were only informed by the Ghanaian government TWO DAYS AFTER Aisha Huang’s so-called deportation making it difficult for her to be tracked;

4) There is no available credible evidence suggesting that the Chinese government at anytime appealed to their Ghanaian counterparts not to prosecute Aisha Huang or making her freedom a precondition for bilateral trade relations as former Senior Minister Yaw Osafo-Maafo recklessly claimed.

The morbid fear of Aisha Huang by the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government cannot be opportunistically blamed on others. When Tanzania jailed Chinese Ivory Queen, Yang Fenglan in February 2019 for 15 years, it didn’t and hasn’t affected cordial China-Tanzania bilateral relations.

Ghana needs an immediate full-scale independent enquiry to unravel this mystery and to identify Aisha Huang’s collaborators in high places for swift sanctions.

Background

Chinese national and galamsey kingpin, Aisha Huang has been re-arrested for a similar offence.

The 47-year-old Aisha Huang, who gained notoriety after her arrest in May 2017 and was tagged as the Galamsey Queen, was arraigned on fresh charges.

This time, the deported queen was charged with three others for engaging in sales and purchases of minerals without a licence.

She is also on a provisional charge of mining without a licence.

Her plea on the two charges was reserved due to the unavailability of a Chinese interpreter when she appeared at the Circuit Court in Accra on 2 September.
