Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), has resigned from the position with immediate effect.
In a letter dated January 31, 2025, and addressed to the Chief of Staff, Hajia Zakariah said she believed it was time to make way for a new leadership for MASLOC.
“I am writing to formally resign from my position as Chief Executive Officer of Microfinance and Small Loans Centre with immediate effect. Over the years, it has been a privilege to serve and contribute to the growth and success of MASLOC.
“However, I believe this is the right moment for me to step down and allow new leadership to guide the organisation,” the resignation letter read.
She extended gratitude to the staff and management while expressing confidence in the continued success of MASLOC.
Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo appointed Hajia Abibata Shanni as the CEO of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre in September 2021.
She took over from Mr. Stephen Amoah, under whom she served as the Deputy CEO.
