The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has cautioned Ghanaians that voting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections would essentially be granting President Akufo-Addo a third term in office.

“A vote for NPP is a vote for a third term for Akufo-Addo,” Mahama asserted during the NDC’s manifesto launch in Winneba, Central Region.

Mahama questioned the NPP’s confidence in its own leadership, stating, “If they cannot even trust their own vice president to lead them, how can they trust him to take over from Akufo-Addo?”

He emphasized that a vote for the NDC would usher in a new era of leadership focused on the needs of all Ghanaians rather than serving the interests of a select few.

“We will prioritize the needs of Ghanaians, not the interests of a few individuals,” Mahama promised.

The NDC officially launched its 2024 manifesto at the University of Education, Winneba, on Saturday, August 24.

In his address, the NDC Flagbearer pledged to eliminate nuisance taxes, enhance the education system, and introduce a bold $10 billion infrastructure investment plan aimed at public housing projects, among other initiatives.

Mahama also vowed to conduct thorough investigations into scandals that occurred during the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) administration, emphasizing the NDC’s commitment to accountability and transparency.
