Police arrest 3 suspects in connection with robbery, murder of MoMo vendors
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has apprehended three individuals in connection with the robbery and murder of two mobile money (MoMo) vendors in the area.
Currently, the suspects are in police custody and are expected to appear in court soon.
The police are actively pursuing a fourth suspect, Martin Amoah, who is also referred to as Augustine Amoah or “Baba Macho.”
Authorities believe he may be hiding in areas such as Kumasi, Dunkwa-on-Offin, Diaso, or Accra.
The police are reaching out to the public for assistance in locating Amoah.
“Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the police through the Toll-Free number [item],” the statement emphasised.
The Ashanti Regional Police Command remains dedicated to securing justice and encourages community members to stay vigilant in helping to hold all culpable parties accountable.

In a statement from the police, it was reported that the first incident took place on Thursday, February 13, 2025, in Krofrom. The victim, identified as Patricia Nimako, was fatally attacked, and her assailants fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
The second tragic event occurred on the evening of Monday, March 10, 2025, when Gideon Owusu Sarpong, known as “Junior”, was similarly robbed and killed at his home in Kwadaso.
Following thorough investigations, law enforcement officials arrested Charles Kwame Danso, 23, also known as “Kwame Charles” or “Miami”, along with 29-year-old Philip Foujour and 42-year-old Samuel Addae Mensah. These arrests were made on March 21, 2025, at Pankrono and Atimatim.
