A/R: Fire Destroys 9-Bedroom House At Tafo Pankorono

Fire has destroyed a nine-bedroom house and items worth thousands of cedis at Tafo Pankorono in the Ashanti Region.

The fire is reported to have happened in the evening on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

Residents were unable to pick up any of their valuable items after several attempts by firefighters to douse the flames.

Some of the victims in addressing the media said when the unfortunate incident started, they persistently called the Ghana National Fire Service in their jurisdiction for assistance but vast properties were lost before they arrived on the scene.

The GNFS is yet to make any statement on the incident that has left residents traumatized.

The displaced members are therefore appealing to the government and philanthropists to come to their aid to find another accommodation for themselves.
