Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil is excited to contribute to the success of his new team, LA Galaxy.
The 26-year-old recently signed a four-year deal with LA Galaxy after completing his move from KRC Genk where he had an impressive track record in Europe.
Paintsil scored 61 goals and provided 35 assists in 228 matches for K.R.C. Genk, MKE Ankaragücü, and Ferencvárosi TC.
His impressive performances caught the attention of clubs in elite leagues such as Burnley, Southampton, and Leeds. After the transfer, the former Tema Youth winger expressed his excitement about the new adventure that awaits him.
He had previously had proposed transfers to England which fell through, but now he is poised to embark on a new chapter in the United States.
During the 2022/23 campaign for Genk, Paintsil recorded 32 goal contributions (18 goals, 14 assists) in 39 matches, showcasing his potential to be a valuable asset for LA Galaxy in the MLS.
The 26-year-old also featured in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for Ghana in Ivory Coast and is expected to boost LA Galaxy’s attack in the new season.
