Citi TV suspends Keyboard Idol over death of a contestant
Accra based Citi TV has suspended its maiden edition of the Keyboard idol over the death of a contestant, Chris Tamakloe.
Tamakloe was part of the 10 finalists in the contest
The 13-year-old was in the company of his father when the incident happened on Saturday night at Asuture junction.
“They were in a vehicle and they run into a stational car. He was rushed to the Dodowa hospital but he couldn’t make it” General Manager of Citi TV, Benard Avle announced.
“It’s with immense pain and sadness that we announce the loss of the extraordinarily-talented Chris Tamakloe, one of the contestants on Citi TV’s Keyboard Idol Our deepest condolences to his family, friends and everyone affected by his passing.” Citi TV posted on Twitter.
Keyboard Idol is a children talented reality show aimed at unearthing keyboardist.
“The family came to officially inform us yesterday and so we have decided to suspend the competition until further notice,” Mr Avle said
