To secure your votes, verify your names in register–NDC running mate
Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has charged the electorate to secure their eligibility by checking their details in the voters’ register.
According to her, voters need to avoid surprises on election-day by ensuring that their names exist in the register which is being exhibited for verification.
Addressing traders and artisans at the Kotokuraba market in Cape Coast in the Central region as part of her tour of the region, the running mate reminded them that the only way to secure their votes to change the government is to ensure that their names are not missing from the register.
“There are increasing reports of missing names from the register in our strongholds. Go and check your names,” she said, adding that they have to act now to change the government.
Justifying the need for a change, she said the mismanagement of the country under the present government, has eroded the gains achieved under the previous NDC administration.
“You are all witnesses to the mismanagement that has created hardship for the citizenry,” she told the jubilant crowd.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang explained the manifesto plans for the area, and assured the traders of effective economic interventions and infrastructure projects to enhance their trading activities.
“We have done it before, and we shall do it again for your benefit,” she stressed.
The Running Mate urged the people to be peaceful and tolerant, and avoid politics of insults since the ND will win the election based on its track record.
