Black September: six dead as another carnage hits Gomoa
A day after 14 people perished on the Suhum-Kumasi highway, another gory accident at Gomoa Adam on the Kasoa-Cape-Coast highway has claimed six lives and injured seven others.
According to a survivor’s account, the carnage happened when a speeding Ford passenger vehicle tried to overtake the vehicle he was travelling on.
Immediately the driver came into their lane he rammed into their vehicle, causing it to somersault.
When the vehicle finally landed, five people were dead and seven others severely injured, the eyewitness told Kasapa FM.
They were immediately conveyed to the Apam Catholic Hospital where another victim passed on.
The Medical Superintendent of the Apam Catholic Hospital, Dr Paul Archer, explained that fourteen passengers were involved in the accident with five of them all male brought in dead.
He said the hospital is currently having difficulty getting a referral for the severely injured persons but added that their conditions have been stabilsed.

Five people died on the spot while the 14 others who sustained various degrees of injuries were rushed to the Apam Government Hospital.
May 14
Two people lost their lives in an accident near Apam Junction on the Cape Coast-Winneba road, in the Central Region.
The accident, which occurred around 2:27p.m, involved a taxi cab with registration number GS 5436-19, which was travelling from the direction of Mankessim towards Accra.

Six passengers onboard a Hyundai Grace commercial vehicle are feared dead in an accident that occurred at Gomoa Osamkrom on the Agona Swedru-Winneba main road.
The accident involved a Hyundai Grace with registration number GT 4110-13 which was loaded with many passengers and was heading towards Winneba.
