Ghana forward Raphael Dwamena scored his first competitive goal for Danish side Vejle Boldklub in their Super Liga on Monday night.
The 25-year-old joined the Danish side in a three-year deal after terminating his contract with Spanish club Levante because of lack of playing time.
The striker had a near-career-ending diagnosis with a pulmonary condition but survived after a successful heart surgery in January this year.
Dwamena announced his presence in the league with a goal for his side but suffered a 4-2 defeat to AGF.
The host, AGF started the game on an impressive note securing two quick goals courtesy Patrick Mortensen and Frederik Tingager in the space of 20 first-half minutes.
AGF went ahead to add a third in the 58th minute when Jon Dagur netted with a brilliant strike.
Raphael Dwamena began a mini redemption process for the visitors after pulling one back with 20 minutes left.

The goal gave Vejle Boldklub hope, propelling them to add a second to make it 3-2 with six minutes left to the end of the game.
But AGF will regain their two-goal lead after Benjamin Hvidt scored in injury time.
The Ghana International is seeking to relaunch his career at the newly-promoted Danish Super League side following the end of his ill-stricken loan spell at Real Zaragoza.
Dwamena made 9 appearances for Zaragoza and scored two goals before he was diagnosed with a pulmonary condition which ended his campaign prematurely.
His return is one of the many miracles of football as he was set to retire from football due to the heart problem.
At the time diagnosis, he visited the office of one of the most prestigious cardiologists in Spain in Barcelona along with his trusted doctor in Zurich when he was told that if he continues playing he is at serious risk of suffering a cardiovascular accident.
