Omane Boamah worried over ‘disregard’ for COVID-19 protocols
The former Minister for Communication under the erstwhile John Mahama administration has expressed concern over what he described as the disregard for COVID-19 preventive protocols.
In a Facebook post, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah said all persons must do well to protect themselves as the disease was still active and its complications even after one had recovered was far-reaching.
“I am deeply worried about the disregard for COVID-19 prevention protocols which many have abandoned. The disease is active, can kill, and causes complications even if you survive it,” he said.
He added that “it does not matter that you did not test positive for it because of lack of adequate testing capacity”.
The Medical doctor turned politician cautioned the public, especially parents and guardians, to protect children from the virus after a 3-month old and 9-week old babies died last week after contracting the virus.
