Health Minister grateful for well-wishes
Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman Manu, has expressed his gratitude to the general public for their well wishes after contracting the deadly novel coronavirus.
“I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the President and all Ghanaians for your well wishes and prayers. By the grace of God, I’m responding to treatment,” the Minister wrote on Facebook.
In a facebook post, the sector minister, mentioned that he is responding to treatment.
News of his status had generated a lot of debate on social media, there were concerns that the local news media outlets may have published fake news.
But to finally put an end to the debate, President Akufo-Addo, in his eleventh address wish him a speedy recovery.
“Let us wish our hardworking Minister for Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman Manu, MP for Dormaa Central, a speedy recovery from the virus, which he contracted in the line of duty, and is in a stable condition,” the President urged.
The minister is currently receiving treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre after contracting the deadly virus.
Meanwhile, as of June 14, Ghana’s coronavirus cases stood at 11,964 with 4,258 recoveries and 54 deaths.
