NPP presidential primary : Voting ends, sorting and counting underway nationwide

Voting in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries has concluded, with ballot counting now underway across the country.

While most centres reported a smooth and orderly process, a few isolated incidents including alleged vote-buying and the use of unauthorised body cameras prompted party officials and security personnel to step up monitoring.

Despite these issues, the NPP says the primaries have been largely peaceful. Party leaders have urged delegates and members to remain calm and vigilant as results are tallied, reaffirming their commitment to a transparent and credible election, with any violations set to be fully investigated.
