Black Sharks host Nigeria in decisive beach soccer qualifier

Ghana’s Black Sharks will host Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles in the decisive second leg of the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Senegal 2026 qualifiers on Sunday, October 18.

The encounter, scheduled for 15:00 GMT at the Keta Emancipation Beach, comes after both sides played out an entertaining 3-3 draw in the first leg, leaving the qualification tie finely balanced.

The Black Sharks will be hoping to capitalise on home advantage to secure a place at next year’s tournament in Senegal. A victory would send Ghana through to the continental competition, while the team will need to deliver a strong performance against a Nigerian side determined to claim qualification.

The rivalry between the two West African nations adds further significance to Sunday’s contest, with neither side able to establish an advantage in the first meeting.

The Black Sharks will be counting on the backing of supporters in the Volta Region and beyond as they seek to finish the job on home soil.
