In addition, five referees from the Catch Them Young initiative and five Support Premier Assistant Referees have been included in the officiating team for the season.

The programmes are part of efforts to develop and provide opportunities for younger officials to progress through the refereeing system.

The selected match officials are expected to report to the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence for a four-day comprehensive course from Monday, September 7 to Thursday, September 10, 2026.

The programme is expected to help prepare the officials for the demands of the new Premier League season.

The appointment of the officials comes as clubs prepare for the start of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League, which is scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 5.
