Lagos hospital shuts down over COVID-19 fears
A major private hospital in Nigeria’s commercial capital has suspended its operations for 14 days over coronavirus fears.
Management of St Nicholas Hospital, in a statement, says the two-week suspension takes effect from April 18 to May 2, 2020.
The hospital’s Clinical Director, Dr Ebun Bamgboye, says the premises will be disinfected and closed during the period as recommended by government agencies.
It urges patients to consult the hospital’s doctors remotely by calling when needed.
Lagos state has 376 cases out of the 665 cases reported in Nigeria.
