Aduana, 6 other GPL clubs yet to begin licensing process

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reiterated that the deadline for Premier League clubs to complete their club licensing applications remains Friday, July 31, 2026, warning that no further extension will be granted.

In a statement issued by the Football Association’s Club Licensing Department, clubs were urged to complete and submit all required documents through the Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP) before the deadline to avoid sanctions.

According to the Department, any club that fails to meet the deadline could face disciplinary measures under the Club Licensing Regulations. These sanctions may include being denied participation in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.

The GFA explained that compliance with the club licensing requirements is mandatory for all clubs seeking to compete in the upcoming league campaign.

As of 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026, seven clubs had successfully completed and submitted their applications. These are Accra Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, Dreams FC, Medeama SC, FC Samartex 1996, All Blacks United FC, and Basake Holy Stars FC.

Five clubs were still in the process of completing their applications. They include Debibi United FC, Karela FC, Bechem United FC, Port City FC and Vision FC.

However, the GFA revealed that seven clubs had not yet begun the licensing process. They are Aduana FC, Berekum Chelsea FC, Bibiani Gold Stars SC, Heart of Lions FC, FC Ashantigold and Young Apostles FC.

The Club Licensing Department has therefore appealed to all clubs that have not completed their submissions to act swiftly and upload all mandatory licensing documents before the deadline expires.
