According to eyewitness accounts, the man tried to stop the fight but was struck during the struggle, resulting in the motorcycle key piercing his head and becoming stuck in his skull.

He was immediately rushed to a nearby health facility for initial treatment. However, due to the seriousness of his condition and the need for specialised medical attention, he was later referred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

Medical experts at Korle Bu are currently attending to him as they work to manage the injury and provide the necessary treatment. The full extent of his condition has not yet been disclosed.

Commercial motorcycle operations remain a popular means of transport in many parts of Ghana, especially in areas where access to other forms of public transportation is limited.

However, concerns have often been raised about road safety, rider behaviour and conflicts linked to the sector.
