The New Force has firmly denied reports suggesting that it has any connection with a group known as The Base Movement, insisting that the two organisations are completely separate.
In a statement issued on July 20, 2026, the political movement clarified that neither The New Force nor its founder and leader, Nana Kwame Bediako, aka Cheddar, has any affiliation, partnership, collaboration, endorsement or formal relationship with The Base Movement.
The clarification comes after growing public discussions and enquiries that, according to the movement, created a false impression that the two groups were connected.
“The New Force states unequivocally that any claims, publications, or activities suggesting such an association are inaccurate and must be disregarded,” the statement said.
The movement stressed that it has remained independent since it was established and has consistently pursued its own vision of building a united, prosperous and transformed Ghana.
It noted that its work is guided by principles such as integrity, innovation, accountable leadership and empowering citizens to contribute meaningfully to national development.
The New Force also reminded the public that all its official announcements, policies and engagements are communicated only through its recognised and authorised communication platforms.
It cautioned supporters, stakeholders, members of the media and the general public against relying on unofficial sources or publications claiming to represent the movement.
According to the statement, any information suggesting that The New Force is working with or has endorsed The Base Movement should be treated as false and without merit.
Reaffirming its core values, The New Force said it remains committed to promoting transparency, accountability and transformational leadership as it continues to pursue its vision for Ghana.
