McBrown says fame has taken away her freedom to enjoy nightclubs

Popular Ghanaian actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown has revealed that one of the things she misses most because of her celebrity status is the freedom to enjoy a night out at a nightclub.

Speaking on the Stay By Plan podcast, the award-winning actress said she often wishes she could visit a nightclub and dance freely like she used to before becoming famous.

“Do you know what? I feel like going to the club. I feel like going to the nightclub and dancing like when I was young. I like dancing; I’m always happy,” she said.

McBrown explained that her popularity makes it difficult to enjoy such simple moments because fans constantly recognise her and record her wherever she goes.

According to her, even in the dimly lit atmosphere of a nightclub, people are more interested in filming her than allowing her to have fun in private.

“When you go to the club, in the dark, people will still be recording you. And you can’t do that dance for the club. The club dance is different,” she added.
