The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) will officially launch its new RentCare Unit App on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in a major step toward improving student accommodation in Ghana.
The launch will take place at 2:00 PM at the SRC Union Building at the University of Ghana.
NUGS developed the app to change the way students search for and secure accommodation across the country.
The digital platform aims to make the process easier, safer and more reliable for students in tertiary institutions.
The event is expected to bring together student leaders, university authorities, hostel owners, technology experts and members of the public.
Organisers say the gathering will introduce a practical solution to the accommodation difficulties many students continue to face.
According to NUGS, the RentCare Unit App will give students quick access to trusted hostel and rental information. The platform also seeks to improve transparency and convenience within the student housing sector.
Organisers plan to demonstrate the app’s features during the launch and explain how students can use technology to improve their accommodation experience.
Excitement has already started building ahead of the programme, with many students and stakeholders describing the initiative as a breakthrough for student housing in Ghana.
NUGS says the project reflects its continued commitment to student welfare, innovation and digital transformation within the education sector.
