The Black Galaxies have invited 32 players to report to camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence as part of preparations for upcoming assignments.

The selected players are expected to assemble on Monday, April 20, 2026, for a training exercise aimed at building a strong and competitive squad while also enhancing player assessment and monitoring.

According to the Ghana Football Association, the camping exercise forms part of a broader strategy to develop a comprehensive database of locally based players.

This initiative is expected to aid the technical team in tracking player progress and maintaining a ready pool of talent for future competitions.

The squad, drawn from clubs across the Ghana Premier League (GPL) and other domestic competitions, features a blend of experienced and emerging talents.

Notable inclusions come from top sides such as Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, Medeama SC, and Aduana FC, reflecting the depth of quality within the domestic league.

In goal, players like Benjamin Asare and Felix Kyei headline the list, while the defensive unit includes experienced names such as Isaac Afful and Patrick Asiedu.

The midfield boasts creativity and energy with players like Seidu Saana and Salim Adams, while the attack features promising forwards, including Richmond Opoku and Albert Amoah.

During their stay at the technical centre, the players will undergo intensive training sessions under the supervision of the national team’s technical handlers.

The camping will also include at least one friendly match, providing an opportunity for the coaching staff to assess player performance in a competitive setting.

The Black Galaxies, made up exclusively of home-based players, remain a vital component of Ghana’s football structure, particularly in competitions such as the African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Regular camping exercises such as this are seen as crucial in maintaining team cohesion and ensuring that players are match-ready when called upon.
