GEA dismisses all District Coordinators

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), Margaret Ansei, has requested all outgoing District Coordinators whose contracts have lapsed to immediately stop reporting to work across all Directorates, Regional Offices, and BAC/BRCs.

This directive, communicated in a memorandum dated 3rd December 2025, follows the management’s discovery that some former coordinators continued to perform their duties despite their contracts having expired, which raised concerns regarding workflow disruption and accountability.

Heads of Directorates, Regional Managers, and BAC/BRC Heads have been assigned the responsibility to enforce this directive, ensure that outgoing coordinators return all agency property, and provide thorough support to newly appointed coordinators to enable them to perform their duties effectively.

National Service personnel who have completed their service are also instructed to stop reporting to work immediately.

The CEO cautioned that any staff member who fails to adhere to this order will face disciplinary measures and will be held personally accountable for non-compliance.

“Kindly treat the above directive as very important,” the memorandum emphasises.

The management’s decision underscores the agency’s dedication to preserving operational efficiency and accountability, ensuring that only active and duly appointed staff hold official positions.
