Ghana grants complimentary visas for Diaspora Summit 2025
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that all registered participants of the upcoming Diaspora Summit 2025 will receive free visas ahead of the gathering set for December 19 and 20 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
In a statement issued in Accra, the Ministry explained that the offer is part of a pledge made by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, during the official launch of the summit.
The initiative is designed to make it easier for Africans and people of African descent around the world to attend the event, which seeks to build stronger ties and encourage collaboration for shared progress.
Prospective attendees are being asked to visit the nearest Ghana Embassy, High Commission or Consulate in their country to secure the complimentary visa before travelling.
The Ministry expressed hope that the gesture would inspire many more people within the global African community to take part.
Online registration remains open until Monday, December 8, at the official summit website.
The Ministry also listed the countries whose citizens may enter Ghana without a visa due to existing reciprocal agreements.
These include nations such as Barbados, Dominica, South Africa, Kenya, Singapore, Jamaica, Rwanda and many others.
Holders of diplomatic and official passports from countries such as Brazil, China, Germany, India and the United Arab Emirates also qualify for visa-free entry.
Participants with questions are encouraged to contact the Ministry through its official communication channels. The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to hosting a meaningful and successful Diaspora Summit 2025.
