We are going through hell but we will survive- Kotoko Coach on injury crisis

Kumasi Asante Kotoko assistant head coach Prince Owusu says the team’s injury situation is a hellish one but is confident the team will survive.

He said this in a post-game presser after Kotoko drew 2-2 with Medeama in a home fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Kotoko conceded twice in the first half but stormed back to secure the draw with captain Samba “O’Neil” Gilbani grabbing the equalizer via a header in the 92nd minute.

Reacting to the game, Prince Owusu said he wasn’t disappointed with the draw and added that the team’s injury situation is hurting the team.

“There’s a lot of injuries and the [transfer] window is going to be opened very soon so we can put in some other people but I’m not disappointed.”

“The only game that we lost at Basake was the one that hurt me but the rest, the boys put in a very good performance.”

“The turf [at Basake] too was [an] artificial turf; we withdrew [Joseph] Ablorh right on the pitch after the warm up, we had to take him out to save him. We are going through hell but we will survive” Prince Owusu said.
