Man killed by robbers at Ngleshie Amanfro

A man has been fatally shot by some unidentified people believed to be armed robbers at American Farm, Ngleshie Amanfro, situated in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

The unfortunate incident occurred on Friday night, October 31, 2025.

The deceased, known only as Kwame, was reportedly shot and killed by four armed robbers who ambushed him around 5 a.m. while he was en route to work.

Residents reported that the armed assailants, numbering four and riding two motorbikes, attacked the driver near the Roman School area.

At that moment, he was walking to a nearby lorry station to pick up a vehicle for his destination when he was confronted by the assailants.

The robbers demanded his bag, money, and phone, but he refused and attempted to fight back, resulting in him being shot in the rib.

One eyewitness stated that Kwame, formerly a taxi driver, had not been driving his taxi for some time.

“He was working with one of the contractors working on the Kasoa-Winneba Road project,” he stated.

He elaborated that Kwame perceived the robbers as young boys and chose to confront them.

Another resident recounted that they heard the altercation between Kwame and his attackers, but due to the gunfire, everyone was too frightened to intervene.

She expressed that the community was taken aback by the incident, especially since it occurred in the early morning when many people were out and about.

She remarked that although they stole his belongings, she felt that the situation was more complex than mere armed robbery.
