King Promise clears air over neglect of former manager
Ghanaian artiste Gregory Promise Bortey Newman known in showbiz as King Promise has dismissed accusations that he has been insensitive to his former signee, Yasmin Behzadi.
Yasmin in an interview with Andy Dosty of Hitz FM last Friday said King Promise has neglected her after getting into the limelight.
According to her, King Promise does not give her credit in his success story and warns that she will sue the artiste.
Following Yasmin’s allegations, the management of king promise has also responded, saying the artiste owes nothing to his former signee.
A statement issued by King Promise’s management on Tuesday said Yasmin gave up on the artiste along the way because her financial expectations from the artiste were not met.
“There were countless times King Promise was refused from working on features with artistes because Yasmin had issues with them,” the statement said.
The statement further explained that the young artiste became a puppet under the contract with Yasmin.
King Promise’s management said even though they expected her (Yasmin) as a businesswoman to understand that returns on investments don’t come right after investments are made, especially in the music business, Yasmine did not see that as she expected her returns month after the release of ‘Thank God’ which was produced by Killbeatz in 2016.
According to King Promise management, following Yasmin’s inability to get her returns immediately after investing in the artiste, she described the artiste as “a waste product”.
King Promise has now being signed by Killbeatz, a music producer.
