Ghana’s Spintex Knights Basketball Club have improved their chances of progressing to the West Divisional Round of the 2026 Basketball Africa League (BAL) after recovering from an opening game loss to record a win in its second game.

Knights beat L.P.R.C. Oilers from Liberia 68-58 after falling 66-73 to Jeunesse d’Abidjan from Cote D’Ivoire in the first game.

Star player James Amotoe continued his strong start to the campaign by registering 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists in 30:25 minutes.

He was the only Knights player to score in double figures in the low scoring game after converting four of five three point shot attempts and seven of nine free throw shot attempts.

A win over Elan Coton of Benin in its last game on Sunday, October 19 at 16:30 GMT qualifies Knights to the Division Round; in the 2025 edition, Knights made history as the first Ghana team to make it to the stage.
