Police investigates beating of Sunyani residents for ‘not wearing black attire’
The Bono Regional Police Command has announced it is investigating several cases of assault on residents by some officers and ‘warriors’ from the Sunyani traditional council.
The attackers subjected individuals to beatings for failing to dress black or red, the colours associated with mourning.
The directive from the Sunyani traditional council was to pay respects to the late Sunyani queen mother, Nana Yaa Nyamaa Poduo II, who is to be buried Saturday.
